TraxWorks to lead design of Moon World Resorts
Moon World Resorts Inc. has appointed TraxWorks Hospitality Collaborative, the design consultancy practice founded by Larry Traxler, as its Exclusive Strategic Design Advisor across all Moon Smart City developments.

This engagement includes the development of the Moon Design Genome – a governing design intelligence framework which will define Moon’s built environment across all nine global regions, ensuring every development is unmistakably Moon, while remaining fully responsive to local culture and context.

Traxler brings more than 30 years of senior leadership at Hilton, Hyatt and Ian Schrager Hotels, where his work helped define contemporary luxury and lifestyle hospitality at a global scale.

With a portfolio that spans large-scale mixed-use developments, brand-defining interiors and next-generation experiential environments, he is well-positioned as a key contributor to Moon’s global design and operational framework.

Traxler’s work also extends into low earth orbital space station hospitality concepts, bringing forward-facing insight to Moon’s mission of redefining experiential tourism and human-centric design.

TraxWorks Hospitality Collaborative will guide Moon’s architectural and interior design direction, design intelligence framework and experiential programming across all worldwide Regional Licenses.

With planned developments in North America, South America, Europe, the Middle East, East Asia, South Asia, Southeast Asia, Oceania and Africa, Moon seeks to redefine what hospitality and entertainment can achieve at the intersection of innovation and the human experience.

Each Moon development is conceived as a Building of Global Significance, anchored by the world’s largest true Sphere and a 556-acre masterplan integrating hospitality, entertainment, longevity + wellbeing, education, technology, attractions, branded luxury Residences and AAA commercial real estate.

The design mandate requires a fusion of next-generation architecture, advanced engineering, immersive environments and precision-driven operational planning; an expansive mandate where TraxWorks expertise is uniquely aligned.

“Larry understands every element of the development cycle: the creative, the build-out, the operations, and the demands of a global rollout,” says Sandra G. Matthews, Co-Founder and President, Moon World Resorts. “His ability to translate design excellence into business performance at scale is genuinely rare. Larry sharpens our vision, strengthens our global design standards, and brings the kind of hard-won expertise that a project of Moon’s ambition demands. His leadership ensures Moon’s design language, guest experience, and operational excellence remain consistent across continents, while pushing the boundaries of what hospitality and entertainment can achieve.”

Traxler also commented: “Moon does not have a design precedent, and that is precisely what makes it so compelling to me. My three decades of global hospitality design practice has delivered some extraordinary projects, but eventually every one of them fits into a category that has already been defined. Moon is different: it is building a new transformational category from the ground up, with a design identity that must respond to its locale without losing its primary essence. Helping create and deliver The Moon Design Genome is the answer to that challenge and I am excited to join this incredible team at Moon World Resorts. Let’s build what’s next.”
