Hilton has unveiled Waldorf Astoria Kuala Lumpur, a residential-style all-suite urban retreat in the Bukit Bintang Golden Triangle district.

Featuring 268 generously appointed suites, the hotel brings a contemporary expression of luxury to Malaysia, uniting the brand’s enduring traditions with distinctly Malaysian hospitality and a refined sense of place.

Waldorf Astoria Kuala Lumpur welcomes guests with its own iteration of the brand’s renowned clock. Here, the sculptural timepiece takes inspiration from the geometry of the historic Islamic astrolabes from the collection of the Islamic Arts Museum Malaysia. Crafted in bronze and illuminated glass with subtle Art Deco influences, it uses light to trace the passing hours.

The clock is positioned at the entrance of Peacock Alley, which pairs soaring proportions and stone-clad columns with Songket-inspired textiles to create an elegant social setting.

This dialogue between heritage and modernity continues throughout the hotel’s art collection, curated in collaboration with the Islamic Arts Museum Malaysia. From a monumental 19th-century painting of Qajar princes in the Grand Lobby to works by celebrated Malaysian artists across the property, the collection connects the hotel’s global legacy with the artistic character and cultural creativity of Kuala Lumpur.

Each of the 268 suites at Waldorf Astoria Kuala Lumpur embodies a refined fusion of contemporary sophistication and Malaysian craftsmanship. Design firm Deboss Collective incorporates natural stone, warm timber, woven textiles and handcrafted finishes to create a calm, tactile atmosphere.

Bespoke joinery and details have been inspired by traditional Malay marquetry, offering a subtle nod to the country’s design heritage. Ranging from expansive 80m2 one-bedroom suites to the 745m2 Waldorf Astoria Suite, the accommodations feature thoughtfully planned spaces for living and rest, complemented by floor-to-ceiling views of the Kuala Lumpur skyline.

The suites also feature wellness equipment including a yoga mat and Digital Detox Card, as well as an in-suite kit that features resistance bands, massage balls and a mini foam roller, with weights available for use. This expands the hotel’s wellness philosophy, which guests can experience in full at the Waldorf Astoria Spa. Spanning 2,275m2 across two floors, the space is envisioned as one of Malaysia’s most extensive luxury wellness destinations.

“Waldorf Astoria has long represented the pinnacle of luxury, with a heritage of setting the standard for exceptional hospitality around the world,” said Alan Watts, president, Asia Pacific, Hilton. “From Park Avenue in New York to The Bund in Shanghai, the brand is synonymous with legendary addresses that become places to see and be seen. Waldorf Astoria Kuala Lumpur carries that legacy forward in the heart of the Golden Triangle, with an all-suite experience that brings a distinctive residential character to one of Asia’s most dynamic cities.”

Dino Michael, senior vice president and category head, Hilton Luxury Brands, concludes: “Kuala Lumpur’s cultural richness and energy make it a compelling setting for Waldorf Astoria’s Malaysian debut. The hotel brings an extraordinary sense of space, artistry and occasion to the capital, with the personal service that turns a remarkable setting into a memorable stay. It reflects the ambition behind Waldorf Astoria’s global expansion: hotels that contribute to the social life of their cities and become places guests form a lasting attachment to.”
