AHEAD MEA 2021 winners revealed

AHEAD MEA, the Awards for Hospitality Experience and Design, has revealed its winners in a ceremony at Dubai’s Caesars Forum.

With leading hospitality professionals in attendance, the awards celebrated design in all its forms and the guest experience it creates in hospitality projects worldwide.

From a sleek newbuild on the doorstep of Dubai’s Downtown neighbourhood to a tented camp on Tanzania’s Serengeti Plain, the awards recognised aesthetic, conceptual, functional and commercial breakthroughs during the first in-person AHEAD event in 18 months.

Each entry was discussed and deliberated by a 20-strong panel of judges chaired by Isabel Pintado, Senior Vice President of Design and Innovation at Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts. The judging day took place virtually in July, with the panel – comprising owners, operators, architects and designers – asked to assess projects on their commercial viability, creative excellence and ability to provide a memorable experience.

Marking the first AHEAD event of the year, the resulting MEA winners will now go on to compete against other regions, with worldwide champions set to be crowned at the next AHEAD Global edition. See the full list of winners below:
